Island Peak offers an enjoyable climbing and provides one of the most striking scenery in the Khumbu Valley. If the peak can be likened to an Island in a glacial sea, than the main land forms a semicircle of cliffs that rise in the north to the rugged summit of Nuptse (7879 asl), Lhotse (8501 asl), Lhotse middle(8410 asl), and Lhotse Shar (8383 asl).

Arrival to Kathmnadu, rest in town, checking equipment, preparing for the trekking. |

In the early morning we are flying to Lukla (2840 asl), where we will land uphill at the local airport, what will be unforgettable experience. The very same day we will start the trekking and reach Benkar (2630 asl). Hike will take 3-4 hours. On the way you will have a chance to take a glimpse on the Nepali villages beautifully situated among green hills and rice fields and taste ginger tea in the local teahouses. In Benkar we will stay in lodge (double rooms) with a view of a spectacular waterfall and peak Thamserku (6608 asl). |
